Here we are now going to the west side...
Five reasons to go to Long Beach, WA, in no particular order:
1. Marsh's Free Museum...
... where these guys greet you at the door...
... and you can see all kinds of crazy.
2. The World Kite Museum. Did you know kites have been used in wartime, for religious purposes, to help catch fish, and to keep Charlie Brown down?
3. The World's Largest Fry Pan. (Long Beach claims to have a lot of the "world's largest/best/biggest's" but at 14-1/2 feet, I think this one is probably true.)
4. Fireworks on the beach. (Photo not available. But really, when is the last time you saw the Pacific Ocean? Shame on you. Go. Now.)
5. On the way home you can visit Haystack Rock.
